Editorial profile. Profile restated from public charter listings, broker fleet pages and yacht press; no yacht, owner, captain or crew was contacted. Specifications and rates are indicative and subject to change with season and availability.

Christina O is a 99-metre classic, originally a 1943 Canadian frigate transformed by Aristotle Onassis into the most celebrated private yacht of her era. Restored and updated over the decades, she now charters for up to thirty-four guests across eighteen cabins, a capacity no modern superyacht approaches. She is less a yacht than a piece of living history, and a charter aboard her comes wrapped in the glamour and legend of the mid-century jet set.

On board

Her accommodation ranges from the storied Onassis Suite, with its marble bathroom and oak-panelled study, to double staterooms and convertible cabins that let large groups travel together. Original details survive throughout, from Baccarat crystal to the famous mosaic pool, alongside modern comforts. A crew of nearly forty run a yacht built for grand entertaining, and the interior spaces, salons, dining rooms and the legendary bar, are staged for the sort of gathering her history demands.

On deck & in the water

On deck, Onassis's swimming pool, with its Minoan bull mosaic, still raises hydraulically to form a dancefloor, the centrepiece of a yacht made for celebration. Ari's Bar, with its whale-tooth stools, remains intact, and generous decks host events at anchor. She carries a spa, salon and helipad, and cruises the Greek islands and Adriatic where her scale and history draw constant attention. Few charters offer this blend of amenity and genuine legend.

Why she books

Christina O books because she is unrepeatable, a yacht where weddings, milestone celebrations and large family gatherings unfold amid authentic history. Her thirty-four-guest capacity makes her a natural for events that other yachts cannot host, and her story sells itself. Guests choose her for occasion and meaning as much as amenity, and her Greek base keeps her in the region charterers most associate with classic Mediterranean glamour.
