The home coast: a sheltered, sun-reliable shoreline of clear coves, a protected island marine reserve at Tabarca, and easy day-hops between Alicante, Jávea and Altea. It is the natural launch point for both a relaxed Costa Blanca week and a crossing to the Balearics.

A week, sketched

Day 1

Alicante to Tabarca

Depart Alicante, cross to the Tabarca marine reserve for snorkelling in protected water and lunch ashore in the walled village.

Day 2

Cala de la Granadella

Cruise north to Jávea's Granadella and Moraig coves, pine-backed clear water ideal for swimming and paddleboarding.

Day 3

Altea & Benidorm Island

Anchor off Altea's bay, then round to the Illa de Benidorm reserve before an evening back on the mainland.
